2026 MCN & Harvest Network Pastoral Retreat

Guided by the wisdom that healthy pastors lead healthy congregations, this 24 hour retreat will encourage Pastors and Pastoral staff to cultivate and maintain spiritual vitality.

Sean Nemecek, author of “The Weary Leader’s Guide to Burnout” and director of PIR ministries will lead three sessions:
- Pastors are People Too
- Lament: A Pathway to Joy
- Carrying the Weight of Ministry

All Pastors and Pastoral staff (those functioning in any kind of pastoral role) are encouraged to attend. Time will also be invested in getting to know other Catalyst and Harvest Network Pastors and Pastoral staff. Who knows, some levity may break forth spontaneously and we’ll have some fun too!

This opportunity is offered through a partnership of the MCN and Harvest Network. Cost to you is $50 for a single occupancy room. Registration is required (see link below). Payment upon arrival cash or check only please.

John VanDeusen in Concert at Rockford Reformed

On January 22 at 7:00pm, Rockford Reformed Church will be hosting John Van Deusen for a free concert in support of his newest album, As Long As I Am in the Tent of This Body I Will Make a Joyful Noise, Pt. 1.

John is a thoughtful, Christ-centered songwriter whose music engages honestly with faith, doubt, grace, and hope. His work is rooted in Scripture and marked by humility rather than performance or hype. His newest record was recently ranked #2 on The Gospel Coalition’s year-end list of Best Christian Music of 2025.

The evening will be an acoustic, listening-room-style concert—designed to create space for reflection rather than spectacle.

Church Leaders Training: Equipping Elders and Deacons

Church Leaders Training: Equipping Elders and Deacons

Join us at Coopersville Reformed Church for training that focuses on key elements regarding the church, Scripture, and authority in leadership. With so many voices competing for our attention and time, we as church leaders need to recenter our focus on what God has said about our purpose, our role, and our place in his ongoing mission. The goal of our time together is not simply to acquire content but to discern ways of applying these truths. These workshops are for elders, deacons, staff, pastors, and anyone serving within the church and are led by Dr. Branson Parler and Dr. Jeff Fisher of The Foundry.

Session 1 - Why Church? How do we see God carrying out his purpose and mission in your church and the Church?

Session 2 - Why leaders? How does the big story of the Bible shape our perspective on church leadership?

Session 3 - Why lead? How can church leaders faithfully exercise our authority and responsibility to influence people's spiritual lives in this current climate?
